Sheldon Church, also known as Church of Prince William Parish, was built between 1745 and 1755, burnt by the British in 1779 during the Revolutionary war, rebuilt and burnt in 1865 during Sherman's march to the sea. I have a two page document written by the son of a prominent plantation owner which describes church attendance by plantation owners and provides an intimate view of Sunday services. I will send this document to those who purchase this print.
