Brookgreen Gardens is a flower and sculpture park that covers 10,000 acres in Murrells Inlet (Pawleys Island), South Carolina. Originally six separate rice plantations, the site was purchased and combined by architects Archer and Anna Hyatt Huffington of Connecticut. The gardens contain more than 1,200 works of art. In 1978, Brookgreen Gardens became a National Historical Landmark and is accredited by the American Association of Museums.
